The HARISSONS Spartan at ₹3,099. It has the cleanest owner record here. Across 55 verified India reviews, not one describes the strap, hook or D-ring giving way. Its stated 12 litres works out at 12.2 by the tape, so nothing is inflated. The catch is 1.4 kg empty, which three buyers raised unprompted.
What is the best laptop messenger bag under ₹3,000?
The Assembly Stark at ₹2,799, for three years of cover and an honest 18 litres. The FATMUG at ₹2,499 holds even more, but it is 1.47 kg empty and has no warranty at all. The DailyObjects Urban Tech at ₹2,789 is the light, slim option. It is only 4 cm deep, so the charger will not fit.
How do I tell real leather from a coating before I buy?
You cannot, from a listing. What you can do is read the last twenty reviews for the words "peeling" and "genuine". A coating splits and lifts. Real leather scuffs and darkens. On this page the Goatter and the HYATT are the two whose buyers confirm the material rather than dispute it. Photograph the surface the day it arrives, so a claim has a starting point.
Why is the litre figure on these bags so often wrong?
Because nobody checks it. Multiply the three published dimensions and divide by 1,000. The DORPER claims 24 litres from a body that works out at 14.4. The HYATT claims 20 from a body that works out at 13.6. Both are about 30% out. Depth in centimetres is the number that actually tells you what fits.
Is a leather bag too heavy to walk to work with?

Should I buy a leather bag or a technical fabric one?
