Luggage & Bag Warranty in India (2026)

A warranty is a brand promise, not a product one. The same Samsonite policy covers every Samsonite case. So the term does not change from one model to the next.
What changes is where you read it. A marketplace listing may promise five years. The brand's own policy page may name no period at all. When the two disagree, the policy page is the one that binds.
This page collects what each brand publishes, and links to every policy. It is a registry, not a shortlist.

Samsonite Group
Three brands here share one policy and one service network. The wording is near identical on all three pages.
Samsonite
Samsonite's warranty page names no period. It says the duration "is stated on the warranty card inside the Product". You cannot read your own term until the box is open.
Cover is for manufacturing defects only. The policy excludes normal wear and tear, water, and transport damage. Repairs run through an approved service centre, and you pay to get the bag there.
American Tourister
Same owner, same wording. American Tourister's warranty page puts the duration on the card, not on the website.
Its exclusion list names the one that matters most: "transport damage (by airlines for example)". It then tells you to claim against the airline instead, at the airport, before you leave.
Kamiliant
The Kamiliant warranty page repeats the American Tourister group text word for word. This is the group's budget line. Duration sits on the card. Airline damage is excluded by name.
Claims go to a Samsonite service centre, so the reach is the group's, not the sub-brand's.
VIP Industries
VIP is the one large group that publishes actual numbers. The VIP warranty page carries a table of periods by category.
VIP
Hard luggage and soft luggage both get three years. Backpacks and duffel bags get six months. The clock starts from the invoice date.
The table is by category, not by brand. Every VIP-group case reads off the hard luggage row. Excluded: cosmetic damage, and damage in transit by airlines, airports, railways or any other carrier.
Skybags
Skybags has no separate policy. Its own warranty URL redirects to the VIP page, so the periods above are the ones that apply.
That means a Skybags backpack carries six months, not the longer term the range's marketing suggests.
Aristocrat
Aristocrat is a VIP brand with no policy page of its own. Its hard and soft cases read off the VIP luggage row, so three years from the invoice date.
A marketplace listing may print a different number. The VIP page is what binds, and Aristocrat backpacks and duffels take the six-month row rather than the three-year one.
Caprese
Caprese is the only brand VIP names on its own row. The published term is six months, whatever the product.
Safari Industries
Safari
Safari's warranty policy names no period either. It points to "the period specified in the authorized Warranty Card".
The exclusions are unusually broad, and worth reading before you rely on the cover. The page states that "wheels, zippers, trolleys, fabric etc. will show wear & tear", and that this is not covered. It also excludes zip bursts, cracks, dents and scratches by name.
Claims start with a registration form or a phone call, not a counter visit.
Direct-to-consumer luggage
These brands publish the longest terms on the market. Repairs route by courier or by post, so judge the turnaround, not the number.
Mokobara
Six years on most luggage, and three on the Em and Transit ranges. Mokobara's warranty page lists cover part by part: shell, trolley, wheels, lock, handle and zip.
Repairs are unusual here. Mokobara sends the spare part to you with a guide, so a wheel or a trolley is a ten-minute job at home. Airline mishandling is excluded. Soft bags and accessories get one year.
uppercase
The uppercase warranty policy names no fixed term. It says the duration is "specified on hand tag of a Product or on the Company's website".
That matters here, because the range is sold on a day count. Listings offer 2000 or 2500 days. Those numbers sit on the product, not in the policy. Transit damage is excluded, and any payout is capped at what you paid.
Nasher Miles
Terms run from six months to three years, depending on the product. The Nasher Miles warranty page names the covered spares: zipper, pullers, lock, handles, wheels and logo.
It is also the clearest about limits. Nasher Miles states it provides "only a national warranty and not international warranty on any of the products".
The Assembly
Three years international on hard luggage, one year on soft bags and accessories. The Assembly's warranty page itemises cover by component, down to the name patch.
Scratches, dents and airline damage are excluded. Claims go by email or WhatsApp with photos and the invoice.
EUME
Five years on luggage, and eighteen months on backpacks, messenger bags and accessories. EUME's warranty page says cover is automatic on purchase, and that registration is optional.
Luggage cover includes wheels, trolley, handles, zips, TSA locks and shell cracks. Backpack cover extends to the USB port where one is fitted.
Provogue
Five years on the Spectrum, Coral, Azure, Lumina and Cascade ranges. Three years on Wave, Loop, Linea and Primea. Provogue's service page sets the term range by range, so check which one you bought.
Cover is for manufacturing defects only. The exclusions run wide. They name damage in transport by airlines, rail or courier. Wear on the wheels, zips and trolley handle is out too.
You register the bag by scanning a QR code packed with it. Claims then go by email to customer care, and you need the invoice.
Licensed lifestyle brands
The name on these bags belongs to a clothing label. The luggage is made and serviced under licence, so the policy that binds is the licensee's, not the fashion house's.
Swiss Military
Swiss Military India's warranty policy names no period at all. The term is whatever your invoice says. Failing that, it is the packing date on the bar code sticker on the box.
Read the next line before the year count on any listing. Cover applies "in India only". Marketplace titles on these bags routinely advertise sixty months international, and the brand's own page contradicts both halves of that.
Exclusions name zip bursts, cracks, dents and heavy scratches. That is most of what ends a bag. Claims go through the support portal with the invoice and photos. You pay to ship the bag in.
Tommy Hilfiger
Tommy Hilfiger travel gear in India is made under licence by Brand Concepts Ltd, which trades as Bagline. Its warranty policy is the one that applies.
Three years limited on soft and hard luggage. Register within thirty days of purchase and you get two more, so five in total.
Claims are counter-based. You visit or post the bag to a Bagline or authorised store, paying the postage in; return shipping is free within fifteen working days. Airline transport damage is excluded by name, alongside scratches, dents and wear.
Marketplace brands
These brands sell mostly through Amazon. The term sits on the listing or the product page, and there is no policy page to read it in.
Teakwood
Teakwood Leathers names a two-year warranty on its trolley bags, covering "manufacturing defects or malfunctions". That line sits on the product page, not in a policy.
Its terms and conditions page sets out no warranty at all. So there is no published exclusion list and no claim route beyond emailing customer care. Screenshot the product page before you buy.
NOVEX
NOVEX listings state a three-year manufacturer warranty on trolley bags. We could find no page on the brand's own site that names a term, an exclusion or a way to claim one.
That gap is the thing to weigh. A three-year term with no published claim route is three years of nothing in particular. Screenshot the listing, keep the invoice, and treat Amazon's return window as the cover you can actually use.
The Clownfish
The Clownfish runs a warranty registration page with a "Register for warranty" link and a "Claim defects" link. Neither the page nor its terms of service names a duration.
So the term is whatever the listing you bought from says, and the registration form is the closest thing to a policy. Register the bag anyway. It is the only record the brand keeps.
3G Vacanza
3G Vacanza sells through Amazon, Flipkart and Ajio, and we could find no brand site publishing a warranty policy. Its trolley listings state two years, with scratches excluded.
There is no published exclusion list beyond that line and no named claim route. Same advice as NOVEX: the listing is the document, so save a copy of it.
Backpack and outdoor brands
Wildcraft
Wildcraft's warranty policy (PDF) is a carry-in warranty. You bring the product to an authorised service centre yourself.
Read the headline term with care. The five-year global warranty is named for luggage only. The paper sets no term for backpacks. It lists what they cover on a separate line: runners, zip, buckle and stitching.
Transport damage by airlines is excluded, as is mishandling by any carrier.
TRAWOC
Three years on TRAWOC products, and two on the Carriz line. The TRAWOC warranty page covers manufacturing defects in materials and parts.
Damage in transportation is excluded, alongside the usual wear and tear.
Tripole
The structure is two-part. Most rucksacks get twelve months fully covered, then a further twenty-four months limited, per Tripole's policies page. Some models run twelve plus forty-eight.
The first year is the valuable one. It includes doorstep pickup and drop. After that you pay to ship the pack to the factory.
F Gear
One year from purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. F Gear's terms page is explicit that cover "is applicable only within India".
You deliver the bag to the service centre at your own cost. Scratches, scuffs and dents on the shell are excluded, as is print and plating wear.
Gear
One year, or 365 days, for the first buyer. Gear's warranty terms exclude zip bursts, cracks, dents and scratches, and transit mishandling.
Claims start on the call centre number, and you pay the shipping to Gear.
Travel accessory brands
The Sleep Company
The Sleep Company's warranty page sets terms for mattresses, chairs and sofas. It runs from two years on gaming chairs to fifteen on the Grand Elite mattress.
Pillows and cushions are not given a period on that page. So for a travel pillow, treat the listing claim as unconfirmed and keep the invoice. Cover is void on anything bought from an unauthorised seller.

Is airline damage covered by a luggage warranty in India?
Almost never. Nine brands rule it out by name: Samsonite, American Tourister, Kamiliant, VIP, Wildcraft, Mokobara, uppercase, Provogue and The Assembly. VIP goes furthest. It names airlines, airports, rail and any other carrier. American Tourister tells you to claim from the airline at the airport, before you leave. So a warranty covers a factory fault. It does not cover the baggage belt.
Why does my listing say 5 years when the brand's page names no period?
Because they are two different claims. Samsonite, American Tourister, Kamiliant and Safari all put the duration on the warranty card inside the box. uppercase puts it on the hang tag. A year count in a marketplace title is the seller's wording, and you cannot check it until the box is open. Swiss Military is the sharpest case: sixty months on the listing, no period at all on its own page. Keep the card and the invoice.
Which luggage brands publish the longest warranty in India?
Mokobara, at six years on most of its luggage. EUME and Wildcraft both name five years, though Wildcraft's applies to luggage and not to backpacks. VIP publishes three years on hard and soft luggage. The Assembly gives three years on hard luggage. Longer paper terms tend to come with courier repairs rather than a counter near you.
Do I need the warranty card, or is the invoice enough?
It depends on the brand. Samsonite, American Tourister and Kamiliant take the filled warranty card or the original bill. Nasher Miles says your tax invoice works as the card. Safari asks for the bill and the card together, plus photos. So keep both. Shoot a photo of the card before it goes missing.
Are Indian luggage warranties valid abroad?
Some are. Wildcraft names a five-year global warranty on luggage. The Assembly and EUME both use the word international. Nasher Miles is the clear exception. It states that it offers a national warranty only. F Gear says cover applies within India alone. Samsonite will repair at any service centre worldwide, but only where your card says the warranty is global.
Does a luggage warranty cover the wheels and the zip?
This is where brands split hardest. Mokobara, Nasher Miles, EUME and The Assembly list wheels and zips as covered parts. Safari says the opposite in writing, that wheels, zippers and trolleys will show wear and tear, and excludes zip bursts. Since a wheel or a zip is what usually ends a bag, read this line before the year count.
